The past couple of weeks there has been mass ejections which has caused most all of the HF bands to go dead.

On the plus side, we did have two moments of band openings on 6 meters and a couple of band openings on 2 meters.

I don't really think that anyone prays for sun spots or for cme's. After the event, there is sometimes small band openings.
