Trying to revive a Eagle 500 amp.. Looking for diodes #ICC 170 ( no longer made ).. Specs or replacement diode numbers..

Pretty sure that one was rated at 2.5 Amps and 1 kV. It was a widely-used part 30 years ago, but not so common now. The generic "1N4007" is only a 1 Amp rated part, and probably not a good choice. I use 1N5408 rectifiers in those. They're widely available and cheap. You may have to ream the holes in the circuit board to accept a thicker lead wire.
