I still have my original vr9000 I bought from copper when they first came out. I did the modifications listed in the other section and never had Any issues. Very loud and very clear still.

Excellent!

I also had a VR9000 from Copper when they came out. Ended up trading it to another ham several years ago for some parts. Last I heard, he still has it and working.

They are great radios,I was wondering if you could help me I'm just about to the end of my rope I had a vr9000 that I had bought years ago and I had to retire it.it started when I turned it on after about a minute it starts to scan from low frequency (frequencys that wasn't in the radio) to high it does it on all bands I've racked my brains and fends and we can't come up with an answer to the problem (I think it's possessed) if you can think of anything please help me (maybe a number of an exocest)
