For all RADIO OPERATORS that have been on the couch neglecting the RADIO hobby and this site Get up and make some noise so you can be heard. If we don't , this hobby we have put so much time and energy and money into will die. Lets try to recruit some new blood into this hobby. Get everyone off the cell phone's and into radio. Radio's are the only communication that does not charge a monthly bill and is free communication once you have bought the radio. I am also a ham radio operator with a tech upgraded to a general license Where I live I have better radio communication's than with a cell repeater. Our local ham repeater still has the ability to do phone patch . Talk your your friend's your neighbor's tell them how great radio communication is. In time of emergency radio operator's can be of service to the community.

Working on getting antenna sup, now that most of "needed to do" jobs for the house have been handled.

Already have a multi-band vertical and a long-wire ready to raise for HF. Will be turning a disused satellite dish into a slot antenna for 2m FM, just need to decide on antennas for 2m and 70cm SSB and one for the HXT-10.

I got our eldest into CB radio before he went to University and now he's got his ham ticket. Now our middle son has been into CB radio since a very young age and he is currently studying for his ham ticket. Keepin' the radio hobby alive here.

I spend most of my radio time on commercial AM and FM broadcast band. For 2-way, it's mostly 2m. In my area, 11m is an absolute waste. Not a lot going on, and the few who are on on are absolutely disgusting mouthed clowns who agitate and are worthless.
