How many Copper Forum members are using DMR and where do you usually hang out?
The talk group I mainly use is Scottish Highlands & Islands TG23558 but quite often listen out on TG93 North America.

I use DMR when I am around a repeater that is connected to the internet. Which is not too often. It's hard-to-find repeater's that are connected because the owners cannot afford to stay connected to the net. A few of us have offered to help pay on that expense but was turned down.

There are no repeaters local to me so I have to use an MMDVM hotspot at home which I can access from a 2 or 3 mile radius due to my living on a hill. I also have a hotspot in the mobile for when I am out and about which is great in areas with poor repeater service, it works great for me and lets me stay connected even when out walking the dog. Perhaps a thought for yourself at some point if there is a lack of connected repeaters.

Most of the DMR repeaters are about 100 plus miles away and a lot of the DMR REPEATERS are not connected to the internet. So, for me it would be a little expensive to get anything that would connect to the internet. My wife every time I tell her I need more equipment she says ( Dont you have enough yet) LOL. It is never enough Right?

I avoid DMR like the plague.
