What Do you all think about CHANNEL 6 getting by with running 10 to 20 k through 7 to 12 element beam antennas and bleeding almost 40 channels?????? |

Check out BBI on youtube. He runs 50,000 watts on the Bowl. I personally dont have bleed over problems at all. Maybe its your radio that has bad rejection. I run an ICOM 7610 and its tight. I can see how wide some of their signals are by looking at them on the band scope waterfall and they are wide but dont come close to 27.385 It not the kind of activity i partake in but to each their own i guess. 73 to you.
DX is the next best thing to being there.

My radio I use is RCI 2995dx 2970n2 2950dx . I have Icom 718 But I don't use it on 11 meters |

It is hard for anyone to pay that bill. Everyone I have spoke to that have the Galaxy, Uniden, Cobra, Stryker, and other radios have the same complaint about channel 6. Everyone says for the FCC to start with channel 6 then finish with all other violators. But, they won't because this has gone on for many years and I have never read nor heard of anyone on channel 6 getting busted and they are the worst violators. Here where I live for the past 4 month's they have been busting people. |

The FCC doesn't spend much effort on CB anymore. Channel 6 has been like that for the 50 years I have been on the radio. Nothing new.
By the way, 10 kilowatts on channel 6 is considered a small station.
