Im thinking about getting an old 40 channle tube base like a Robyn 240D or a Teaberry model T 40 channel just for the heck of it just to have something differnt to play with. Ive never owned a tube CB base before. What is the most they will do on AM and how does the audio out of one of these radios compare to a newer solid state radio? also how well would one of these tube rigs would work with a tube base amp like a D&A mav 250?

i love my tubes!!!!
my whole shop is full of tube radio linears etc.
feed a linear with the minimum output needed to cause it to key-up. youll love the sswwwiinggg!!!
CAUTION: TUBE EQIUPMENT CONTAINS VERY HIGH OPERATING VOLTS/AMPS. A MISTAKE WHILE WORKING ON ONE (EVEN UNPLUGGED) CAN BE FATAL. IF YOU ARE NOT AN EXPERIENCED TECH.....HIRE ONE!
