An aquaintence of mine was stationed on a naval research ship a few years back and said it had a 100 Farad cap 80'wide 80' long and went 3 decks high.It was used in high voltage experiments.

When I was in the Army in Tx we were sent to guard a train, on this train was a giant cylinder about 60' long and about 10' around, maybe bigger. We were told to turn our backs as the train ran up and down the short track, about 1/4 mile in length. The train started and a extreamly bright light came from the area of the cylinder and large balls of light flew off. The next day I had a very bad sunburn on the back part of my neck and ears. I still dont know what was going on,

Radiodude, did you notice anything else, related to the EM part of the spectrum, i.e. did anyone feel naseous, light headed, or disoriented? Sounds interesting but I would want to be pretty far away from that thing. Do you have any kids conceived since then?

I would like to know some more specifics on the "cylinder", and also, the timeframe, i.e. year this occurred. Was it supposed to be some sort of propulsion unit? Was there an engine on the train?

Yup you are right. Several of us were sick for several days to a week after we "took part" in this op. I lost alot of my hair (on the back of my neck(it grew back)) I got married and have 3 soms and they seem normal(well?) And I forgot to say that the fatigues I had on that night just fell apart the first time I washed them. On each end of this thig there was a steel rod about as thick as my arm with a black end made of plastic(?). about 10 feet long. The light that came off the obect was bright blue.
As I remember more I will post it here.

Oh I remember that the steel wheeles on the train car glowed red hot for about two days after. I also remember that the grass around the track died and as far as I know never grew back. More to come as I remember it

sounds like maybe they were experimenting with some sort of magnetic propulsion, or testing an EMP device, designed to wipe out electronics.

As I remember the paint melted off the train cars and looked like brown glue but was cold to the touch. I think that the tires on the truck that we drove to the sitein all went flat at the same time, and when we looked at them they were very soft and wouldt hold air. I am tring to contact some of the men that were there with me to see what they remember. I will post more as I think of it

Hey guys, I was just reading about the Philadelphia experiment the other day, and I came across some information from somebody who was stationed on one of the ships around the time that it supposedly happened. They claimed that there was a capacitor that was 3 decks high, 40 feet wide and 80 feet long. It was claimed that they had wrapped the ship in copper windings, to make it invisible to magnetic mines. This is what was thought to be what happened on the ship that was the Philedelphia experiment. And according to reports, it transported to a ship yard in Virginia with some of the men being half way imbedded in the deck of the ship. Anytime there is a capacitor of that size, you know that big brother is the one in charge of it, and it is probably being used for something that we aren't supposed to know about.

Mr. Old Ranger, I respect you skepticism, but I must point out that you probably don't have quite the insight on secret military projects that I have. I cannot give you any proof of anything, but I can tell you that working here inside NORAD and working with many high ranking Air Force officials, I have no doubt that things are happening that we the people are not aware of. Most of the guys that work on my crew are ex-military and can tell some very interesting stories of projects they were assigned to 20 years ago. All of us here don't ask questions and do what were told. That's they way they like it.

I was with Radiodude in Tx and also took part in the guarding of "the train" The cylinder was about 50-70 feet long and was about 12-20 feet around. I was on the other side of the track about one half the way from where the train started. The people that were running the train were in a concret bunker about 1/4 mile from the track. I also got the "sunburn". I have had no other health problems since that time. The cylinder ,when the trail was in motion, became very bright and was impossible to look straight at
A few years after this time I went back to the site and found that the area was still bare of any vegitation, the track was gone. All I saw at the site were some small animal bones.25 years is along time ago to remember but I will put it on here as I do

Hey Taz, relax. A defense contractor is simply one who works for a private company that has a contract with one of the branches of the Department of Defense to provide goods or services. There a about a zillion different types of contractors who do everything from clean toilets, to design and build the most advanved weapon systems that our country has. Sandman and Radiodude may not understand what they saw, but I have no doubt that they saw something that very few people have seen. Sometimes, it's better to not ask questions.

triplecguy,
i have no idea of your on hands experiance with the military as we dont know one another i mean you no discredit.
and its well known that things happen behind closed doors,on ships,in the feild ect ect thats not to be talked about.as it should be for national defence reasons. as a former soldier in special operations we were tasked to test out new
weapons ect from time to time. like the usp.45's
from H&K and the MP5k,MP5pdw,barett.50bmg and other unconventional weapons alot more futuristic.
and once in a while they actually listen to us and adopt one we like.

but this is odd talk on a radio furum is it not!

You see, in the constitution it says the government can have no weapon more powerful than the public.

But yet i dont see them letting us walking around with nukes and big giant capacitors in the back of our trucks. Ol' unclesam cant own up to his own word? ha

Old Ranger, No problem, you know what I'm getting at then. And it may be off the subject of radios a bit, but I think it's a good thing to squabble a bit, and if it has anything to do with technology I think it's pertinent for us all to discuss. I respect your past service and expereience though.

I was with Radio dude and Sandman in Tx when I was sent with them to do the guade duty, My post was it the end of the trains run. I was to report any thing that I saw over the radio a Prc8 man pack type. As the train came toward me and stoped the radio on my back started to squeal and hum. I took the radio off to ck it to see what was going on with it, it went up in a big puff of smoke and a small bit of flames. I saw the grass and weeds at the end of the track wilt as I looked at them. I also had the "sunburn". For about a week all I could do was sit in the latrine(severe poops) I also lost about 25 lbs in about a month. I will try to post more as I can it was a long time ago.
