I'm in Apple Valley.Our local "tweekers" run ch.14(27.125).You probly will have a hard time hearing dx with a local whisteling into the mike.26.915 is used around here alot and 27.425 or 27.430.Some guys use ch. 36 lsb,but the guys from ch.6 are trying to run them off.I'll listen for you though.

Maybe saturday, but not for sure to have the beam up. You pick time.
as long as its after 5:30 here.
I dont know where you are at so I dont know what time it would be there. On friday count on about 2:30 and after.
But not this week i mean next week. |

Wdenesday we really herd no skip here in North west Florida. A real quiet day. Thursday we were pounded with nothing but spanish speaking skip. Living on the gulf of mexico, we hear it alot. I called a local buddy of mine on ch 28 am and some guy in San Diego thought I was a local. First english skip I could hear. Then a cb fight broke out about peoples races and who should be on what channel. I went to a different one. I don'y play that racism crap. Then our conditions went beserk, just like tuning through an am radio in a storm. Brief conversations would boom for just a few seconds then another from different parts of the country, then total silence for a couple of seconds, then spanish..... it was crazy here on Thursday. I'll tune in from time to time 828 and give out a hollar on your frequency. One of these time the conditions will work. |

Freezerman you got a big mouth! You big talkin guys usually do. We need more cool guys like 828 on the radio gettin stoked and movin on to a Tech ticket to use freqs and buy equipment from Copper to keep this machine runnin, the government has been known to take frequincies away cause of lack of use, Bruce will confirm that, you watch and see! Shut your big fly trap if you can't play with your toys nicely.

... seems that the cb operators with the lowest i.q. tend to NOT like ssb communications, which in the long run, makes it BETTER for those with a higher i.q. than the ( am break 19 ) crowd. See, ssb operating requires more thinking and better equipment than AM only systems. SSB operators tend to think and act more like dignified amateur radio operators, less distortion in their audio, and thus being a more intelligent operator.... but that is why they make uniden 510 radios, and ranger 2950 radios.... got to go after the PEON dollar , too. |

Please give it a rest!!!! If telling the truth is having a big mouth then yes I do.CB has been tring to break the "breaker breaker good buddy" image for 30 years and still there are people that insist of perpetuating the sterotype. Do you say "breaker Breaker" when you talk on the phome, then why speak all the CB lingo when you are on the radio.

single sideband is more fun....first of all every TOM DICK & HARRY does NOT have it...second IT requires a bit of PATIENCE and maturity to "tune in "some stations and that make s the actual CONTACT more rewarding...THIRD we all know now that we that we who DO work DX on SSB will NOT have to worry with hearing a "taz " station fading in & out |

one great sideband freuency is 27.555 U S B... very few stations there, good dx frequency or 27.445 L S B ...also plain old 27.385 L S B on stock 40 channels...not much heard ABOVE 27.650 from my system...yes TAZ I will talk to you, so come on along and have some fun !! |

mostly hearing just 2 stations on 27.5550 U S B... one is " raymond " with a low tone voice from columbia, or jamaica or some where south of U S A, the other is " world wide certified dignified qualified bad bad leroy brown, east coast of florida reading the mail"....strange freduency...with a few weak stations fading in and out through the morning... |
