Taz ill answer this one there is no diffrence THE BEST amp ive ever own was a heath 2 meter 100 watt all mode which i still use after 30 years its output on a anilizer is squeeky clean and liner enough that in/out except for changing my ts-700 ssb output from 20 watts peek to 100 watts peek you cant see any real change even on the scope. It used a single final run at 60% of what it could do. Right now im using a 4 pill 3-30 mhz HB amp that again looks good circuit wise its like a boomer 400 i built it to run FM but does well on SSB/AM also and looks good outside of carrer frequency. The problem is not one or more its how well they are matched and phased
