Anyone know of a good mod for the 2600? A mod that i can use that will give me a high swing from a low carrier.

find the alc and cw power pots at the back near the antenna jack. with front of radio facing you, you'll find an electrolytic cap (cylinder shaped, and most likely blue) 1 finger width directly to the right. remove this cap, or do like i do and just desolder one of the legs leaving the cap in the circuit. i don't do this for the reason the reason some techs hide work(so no one will find it). i do it like this incase the customer wants to undo the mod later, they just drop a dab of solder back on the pad. be warned this is not a 'clean' swing mod like the npc/ppe for the gal/rci radios. but the waveform doesn't look much different than just cranking the amc wideopen, but the ratio of carrier to swing -is- increased a noticeable amount more over maxing the amc.
