I asked this question on another forum and got NO answers.
I was wondeing how well a speech processor will work in my 3500. I know back in the day Clear Channel sold the SP1-A as an option along with the scanner board for the 3500/3300. Is there a way to make it switchable if i decide to install one in my 3500???

i have a SP1A installed in a 2950DX disabled the swr button on the front panel of the radio and used it for switching the processor. i believe you just need a switch inline with the negative (BLACK) wire. I can always get confirms on signal quality with it on or off

You will love the SP1 in your AR 3500.That is of coarse you can find one. Clear Channel is in short supply of the processor.I have owned several Ar3500's since they were first made so I can tell you from personal experince that the SP1 goes hand in hand with your Ranger AR3500.Some people might feel difrently so you will just need to try it for your self but I would put money on it that your going wish you put the SP1 sooner.
