KLVs are funny animals. While testing three amps yesterday I notced that the Klv350, and klv400 are fully operational between 26 and 30 mhz. However, when I tested the Klv1000 it would only transmit on 28 through 30. IT will not transmit below 28mhz. Whats it gonna take to get this amp to operate like the others. Dont tell me have to wnd coils (no fun). Thanks.

It is what the FCC calles Type Accepted. In other words it will not transmit on the CB Band by virtue of its basic design. Just like the new scanners that are designed never to have the ability to listen in on the cell phone conversations.

Yeah I figured as much. I have three klvs, all work 26mhz -30mhz. So why do the smallr ones transmit there but the 1000 wont??? That is my question. Also, cn it be modified?? somebody ive me some info.
