Hello all. I have an Alinco DX70T and Im looking at the KLV line of amps.Do they operate in the entire HF spectrum including 11 meters (I have a Washington to feed),and are they any good? I like the price and they dont seem to be too large. I have a very small shack.73 Ed

I don't believe those have the band switching, they're mainly cb or 11meter amps. KLV makes one that's HF 10-160 the 2000P I believe. Pretty pricey to me, but it looks like a good one. Picking up a good used Ameritron etc... would be a good way to get one. Whether or not the KLV base amps work in all the HF modes, maybe someone else could say. I would think even with a good tuner it would be hard to match too far out of the designed frequency of the amp.

They are very good as far as a wide band amp. I use one for 40 thru 10 meters with NO trouble...
