I once used a Demco Amateur 500 on the low side producing about 300 watts out. I was in a TV fringe area with a Cushcraft 3 element beam. As long as the antenna was not pointed directly at the TV antenna 30 feet away, I only put a slight line in channel 2 and nothing in channel 4 or 7. I was using a Cobra 2000 and a Drake TVI filter on the output. I did not even 'bleed' the phones. I never had a set up operate so clean!

My home made 829B ( TUBE ) 2 and 6 Meter amp at full output on SSB about 90 watts was clean on channel 2 not much by todays amps but a big improvement over the 3 watts out of that exciter.
