Has anyone done this mod? If so, what were the results? Just wonderin' if it's worth the trouble.

Tried this mod way back and reports were that I sounded kind of garbled on SSB so went back to stock and have ALWAYS had good reports since. My 2510 was one of first that came out. Still working and sounds great.

Just my thought's.

Thanx Tech808...I'm happy with mine too, I had read the mod on another site and wondered if it was accually worth it.

I run my 2510 stock with a Silver Eagle turned all the way down and the mic gain button depressed. It get's excellent reports.

I use a handheld d 104 with mic button deressed and the mic turned up 1/2 to 3/4 and it screams.I am using it as a moble with a 102" whip.People swear I'm running an amp. hehehe
