well if you have the manual on the 570d itll show a diagram for the original mike. if pin 1 is mic / and pin 2 is ptt (push to talk) / and pin 7 is mic ground/ and last pin is pin 8 ground...then wire this astatic mic as follows.
pin 1 is white
pin 2 is red
pin 7 is black
pin 8 is shield/ blue
try that it works on my alinco and alinco is supposed to be the same as the kenwood so try it. please remember to turn the mic down with the processor on on the radio. basically bring the mike volume up to match the processor. good luck and enjoy! |

Well honkytonkman593 did not have time to to post been busy .When i key up mike people hear a clicking if i dont talk or a churping noise.So i changed battery it still does it.I tryed everything cant figure it out.SO i figured maybe its not compatable with Kenwood.I go out buy new MC-60 base mike its even worse know one can make me out on SSB and this mike is made for radio.Could it be RF floating around in shack this $ucks all i wanted was some nice loud pro sounding ssb mike.Know i am back to stock mike and know problems. Try this combination. On the Kenwood, the shield (audio ground) and the switching ground, the blue wire are to be kept seperate. Thw wiring as direct from Astatic themselves is
1. White
2. Red
7. Shield
8. Blue
Black and yellow are not necessary for these radios. I wired mine up to my TS-940 this way and it works well.
Pin 5 on the plug is 8VDC so if you're venturous, you could cut the yellow wire inside the mic itself before it goes to the switch and wire it up to the battery terminal and the battery black wire to the blue ground and no longer need a battery for the mic. |

Well i bought the MC-60 and thats the one i am going to keep on the kenwood if i can get it to work.To night went on ssb people can't make me out.I put new bats in,lowered mike gain and speech processor and still clicks,cuts out,chatters.What can it be ? Both miks did this 575m6 and mc-60,mc-60 does it alot worse. NEED HELP JIMMY |

Hmmm, maybe there's a problem in your TX/RX relay and or the SSB delay circuit. Does the audio click, chatter, ect on AM? Does the radio work okay with the stock microphone? If not, then at least you know your mics are more than likely not at fault.
Excessive RF in the shack could cause squeals, hums, and buzzes. I have one mic that only stops humming when I put my hand around the mic plug itself. |

well mine chirped when my diapole was too close to the transeiver. it had all sorts of talkback in the radio and other problems. if the antenna isnt the problem then maybe you could have a coax jumper wire bad.. or someone opened up the audio in your radio to far which could have in turn killed the speech processer ( hope not). i am not so sure. keep us informed |
