snowman i will asume this is for a scanner The best weatherband ant for a scanner is a ringo ranger why its a omnidirectional ant has a large capture airea and about 5 dbd gain it can be adjusted over a wide range it has good bandwidth ..... and its fairly cheep. even with mine tuned for 2 meters i can pick up the weather stations in orlando 100 miles away

They will tune up to 160 mhz if you tune it there it will wotk on MURS the marine band and weather just fine.

Now like most antennas dont buy one used unless its from a little old lady who used it to talk to The repeater only on sundays HI HI.
