WHICH MIC WOULD BE BETTER TO RUN? I HAVE A SUPERSTAR 3900 W/ECHO BOARD AND I USE A RK56 ON IT NOW AND I HAVE TO TURN THE MIC GAIN 3/4 TO HEAR THE TALKBACK GOOD.WHEN I PUT AN ASTATIC ON IT I CAN ONLY TURN UP ABOVE 1/2 AND IT IS LOUD,BUT IT SEEMS TO SWING MY METER MORE THAN MY RK56 DOES.WITH MY ROAD KING IT SOUNDS GOOD AND CLEAR,BUT WITH MY ASTATIC IT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S DEAPER AND MUFFLED UP.EVERYONE SAYS THEY BOTH SOUND GOOD BUT DO THEY HEAR THE DEAPER,MUFFLED UP TONE OUTSIDE.JUST WONDERING WHAT YOU ALL SUGGEST.THANKS,HOTROD..

hotrod, i like the rk56 better than the astatic636l i run my mic gain all the way up this is my personal opinion. i have a cdl56 mic also i run it on a galaxy 77 it is the same as a rk56 but cheaper and i believe that it has more modulation than either of the mics that you are talking about. i run a road devil astatic mic on my general lee people say that it has alot of modulation. well anyway i hope i have been some help.
