Hey guys.
I have been mulling and mulling in my head for at least a month now about the KLV 1000p base amp.
Would it be a good choise to run behind my AR 3500 100 watter? How good of an amp is it on SSB and AM/ What is the average PEP i should see it do on my meters? I just want someone that can give me an honest answer that has one in thier posession or has used one. Please no sales pitches or "oh its a good amp because Coppers sells it" I just want a few HONEST opionons.

say hey HC,as i stated before in this form ive got both of the klv amps. ok, on the 4 tuber, i use my 2595 to drive it.. the radio is set to dk, 15 watts, and swing to about 120 to 140.. it drives the amp on high up to a 1000, ssb a tad more. ok i put in the 509/ 6kg6 selvita select matched tubes, from rf parts, and this at the same radio setting, drove the amp on high, to rite at 1400, on ssb, mabe 1450 to 1475. as to me this was a tad lots and also driving the heck out of the amp. ive backed down things till the amp runs easy at a 1000 to 1100.. more then enough acording to the reports i get on the way it sounds!!! also to me this makes thing easier on the tubes, ok the nickle says im going on and on.. hope this helps clear up some for ya!! lol
