Have seen all the posts about this radio. What's a good MICROPHONE to run with the modification in the Subscriber section? D104? Any recommendations??
Appreciate the replies!

UncleCrker,

We have been useing the STOCK mic on both of them for several month's now and never found a need for anything else as all the report's we get are LOUD and CLEAR.

Tech 307 suggest's the BEST mic for this radio for BASE use is the KENWOOD MC-60A Base Mic.

Hope this help's some.

I like the stock mic, but Im not a fan of Power Mic's, so my opinion may not be worth much. I have always liked the standard Texas Ranger Mic's, they have that HEFTY feel to them, have one on my Cobra 146GTL.

Where is the best place to find a KENWOOD MC-60A mic? I have heard others report that this mic sounds pretty good on the President series rigs?
I guess I could do a google search but thought you guys might have some leads for best price, etc,... does copper sell them?
Thanks

Best place to find a MC60A mic is at a hamfest.
