I would like to get a meter to see actual modulation without spending an arm and a leg.
I have a bird 43 for the Power.
Any sugestions helpful

somewhere i have a diagram on how to build one but even the cheep cb ones are good enough.

I'm thinking that if you can afford a Bird 43, then almost any SWR and/or modulation meter should be easily affordable for you.

i found the diagram and you could build one very cheep .... or heck give copper a few bucks for someting NICE!

the astatic 600 has a good mod meter on it and copper sells it for$89.99 not bad for three meters in one
