I am installing a Texas Star 250V in my van. I have run 6 gauge wire from both the positive and negative battery terminals to the amp. Now should I also ground the amp? If so does that mean run a grounding strap from the amp case to say the seat bolt?

Hi Daytonaman,
Oh Yeah!! Go ahead & ground that box to a seat bolt! That will really help your antenna ground and prevent bleeding over into your van's electronics. Good luck with your new TS-250V & let us know how it works out...

You shouldn't *need* to ground a 250, although if you do GROUND TO FRAME. Bare metal contact then seal it.

Daytonaman in my experience keeping the antenna above all the glass is the best preventitive against destroying your internal electronics, and please turn off your music radio when txing it can get in through its antenna and raise hobb with everything,73s.Bigbob
