Does anyone think I would be better served by upgrading from PDL2 to a White lightning or just getting an Xforce 400-12.I read somewhere that a larger antenna has a greater effect on the receiving end than just doubling the input power,is this true?Of course there are those that would say buy both,but I have limitted funds.Everyone jump right in,please.pssst.(anyone got a good used 400-12)? |

Yep, your antenna is 75% of your system.
Next is power and then modulation.
I would get the antenna, but keep the pdl -2 cause they are hard to find, and really hard to find if its the origional avanti!

The bigger antenna will serve you far more than an amp. Your receive will be improved noticeably along with your transmit. |

Get the antenna, forget the xforce and get a KLV! Alot more bang for the buck. |

get a bigger antenna even if its not the signal beam. id stay away from transister boxes for the house unless you dont have neighbors.
they as a hole they bleed much worse than boxes that employ transmitt tubes like 811a's,572b's,3-500zg.
the bigger antenna will help you hear things you never knew were out thier.
seems like everone nowadays has a big mouth, but few have big ears! |
