I Just Recently Bought a used 60 ft crankup tower for a signal engineering 4element beam. The Tower Cable And Winch Are rusted. I Wanted To sand down the winch and repaint it. My question is how do i go about changing the cable on it I don't know how much cable to buy or anything Im stuck i want to get my project moving but this has hulted it on this cable. or how to recable it. is there a diagram out there on the internet somewere? Anybody have any ideas?

Is it a 3 section tower? Mine was in pretty rough shape when I got it too, but once its apart, you can see how it works. Not real complicated. You remove the "collars" at the top of each section to seperate the tubes. Just keep track of the routing of the cables. I put an ATV winch on mine, and it has worked out pretty good. Never could find any good info about them on the net, though you may want to check US towers, as they still sell a few models.
