My wife has been complaining about the mouse on the Computer not responding when she tries to click on to something, it goes all over the place, she asked me how to fix it, I told her to take the mouse to Circut City and get some new Balls for the mouse ,she just left, I will be talking from my mobil latter today , on my way to Alsworlds.

Have you tried cleaning your mice balls? Sometimes when mice balls get dirty, them little suckers just go crazy :)

A follow up on what Insider said.
You can purchase a cleaner kit that works great and doesn't break the bank. I have used one for a long time.
One of the main reasons for this problem is the static electric draws all the household dust.
Hope this helps.

As funny as Insiders comment is we must remember that this is a family forum. Please don't make any comments that you wouldn't want made in front of your 13 year old daughter. Thanks!

Pretty neat mouse there 707.

I have an optical mouse and it's fantastic. It even works well directly on a wood grain desk with no mouse pad. I had thought that the pattern with all those light and dark areas would have reaked havoc on the pickup.

Just for reference, you don't need any special mouse cleaning kits Plain old rubbing alcohol of 90 percent or better and a swab (Q-Tip for example) will do. Remember in addition to cleaning the ball with the alcohol, also clean the rollers inside the mouse. Wipe everything down with a lint free cloth and re-assemble.

Re 3885:

Check Wall Mart, Computer section. Cost $19.95 with install software.

Perhaps you were looking at the wireless mouse. That one does cost more.
