It would not do you any good. Per the books, in order to get just one S unit on the meter of the receiver you would have to multiply your present power by 3 dot something (almost 4) times.

Which means to go from S5 to S6 if you are running 4 watts presently would require you to run about 16 watts to get the extra neele on the receiver. Any changes you make on your end would only result in distion.

Power does not make any difference beyond a certain point. You have to work the propagation not power.

Sir im sorry but i wasnt asking for a lecture on S units i wanted to know if there is a good NPC RC mod for the 2995. I guess if i cant get the info i want on here ill ask somewere else....

i suggest you post here titled

SS8541 HELP

and ask him,,,,,,
not only will he be able to help you,,,,
he can explain what the mod is for those in the forum that dont quite understand exactly what it does.

I sent him my radio (2950DX) and he set it and i get GREAT reports. PS he has his own mod that he does on those radios similar to the NPC and Richard (SS8541) knows his stuff!!!!!!!!
