NEED TO KNOW HOW TO GAIN A FORWARD PEP SWING ON SSB.AND HOW TO ALIGN MY ALC W/ AMC TO TRY TO CREATE THIS FORWARD SWING .I HAVE A BACKWARD SWING NOW NOT MUCH, MAYBE ONE OR TWO S-UNITS

"BACKWARD SWING"???, on SSB !!!???. Sounds like it needs more than just alignment. Something's broke. On SSB the meter should ALWAYS read zero UNTIL you talk.

On the other hand, if you are using a power mike turned up too high, room noise alone may be pushing the meter up before you talk. Could be that just turning down the mike gain would fix that particular "problem".

WOW , Backwards swing on SSB? That is impossible. You must mean when you hit it with an Audio , it bounces up , then comes back down then back up but not as high maybe?

If you are talking about AM ,then most likely your length of coax is two short...

If it's backwards swing on a.m., then I would guess the carrier is too high.

need vr numbers for tune-up for cherokee 100&150rand I.D. numbers of the pots. can't find what web page to get on tech. support. By the way what company makes cherokee radio's.
