I Just bougth this scanner from a flea market. And IT Works Great. I Was talking to my Friend and He says there is a way to mod it out to get more then 512mhz. Anybody Know anymods like This?

I think you got as much frequency range as possible.You might be able to get the VHF Mid-band at the cost of the VHF Lo-band.Years ago I remember seeing a mod to get 100 memory channels.I think this was floating around the FIDO net or in the RCMA Journal.I wish scanners were still built this strong and well shielded.

I doubt it and if there was what would you lissen too anyway? its not trunking so your local cops and fire are out. Still not a bad scanner program in 29.60, 29.62, 29.62, 29.66, 29.68, 52.525, 146.52 and if you still have any local repeaters of city/county services. Even without trunking there are many systems out there.

There isn't much to listen to in the VHF mid-band,do you suppose there might be a small niche of scannist who enjoy listening to paging tones and R/C model transmitters?There are some public safety base to transmitter links licensed in the mid-band.A local PD in the next county has one but I never heard anything on it.
