The mod for the vr-9000---take the top cover off and you will see 4 resistors in the front right hand side. Clip them out! You radio now will go from 25.615 to 28.305mhz

Well I did it I ordered one around 4:00am so now I will go nuts waiting till wed. Thanks to all of you with all the info about what I think will be the last radio I will need to buy. I hope anyway?
