The Wilson 5000 trucker series is rated a 864 Q- Factor. The Wilson 2000 Trucker is rated at 667 Q- Factor. Inquiry. Are there any other antenna's manufactured with a higher Q than the Wilson 5000, that is just as light-weight? I'm not into drilling holes into the roof of my car, and I need to dismantle my set-up every night just to keep it from being "Ripped" off. (Apartment living). Finally, I'm trying to steer clear of the open coil DX Antennas like Coily, Predator 10K, "55",Monkey Made, X-Bones etc, Because they all require a heavy stud mount drilled in the roof just to support the weight, bulk, and height of these types of antennas. Any recommendations of superior hi- Q, and light weight antennas would be very helpful.

The higher the Q the LESS channels it will cover SO you have to know how much coverage you need and if you only want the 40 cb channels Q will not matter. If you have a wide range of them you want a LOWER Q. Best antenna ive used is a 7 foot fiberglass.....worst a through the glass on cb.

I tried the I believe it's called monster, or something. Copper has it advertised with a 3 or 4 pad mag-mount. I bought them both a couple of years ago. Problem is, it had or showed to much ground plane, and I could never get the SWR low enough. That's when I quit CB. I just got so frustrated. I'm happy though with my Wilson 5000 Trucker.
