Just got one of these. Digital Madison base radios. I got as B-Day gift from the Wife. We got this off a re-tired gentleman whom had put it up some six years ago. Got @ a great price! To Make long story short mic batt/was left in D-104 and there is some corrosion. Can't make clock come on when plugged in or lights in meter's to work? Could this be the lights are out? Has a variable power mod done to it and echo that I plan on putting on on/off switch. Was thinking of talking it to local CB tech, However would like to have some idea of what's wrong before going in shop as I have had problems w/Prices and quality of work w/this person.(Unfortunatly only shop in area) I'am also looking for a Ext. speaker to match this radio if anyone can reccomend a place... Thanks...Is this just as good as a Cobra 2000? or close? E-Mail or post a mess...E-Mail @ mroct2527@aol.com |
