Sofkow, here is one place on the net. http://www.aesham.com/pdf/131-137.pdf
It's in the bottom right corner of page 135.

Chances are by checking some hardware or electrical stores in your town/city you might find it there as well. I found small tubes at a hardware store down the street. It's used a lot for aluminum to aluminum, or aluminum to copper connections.

Why won't Amateur Electronic Supply (AES) sell it to you? Go to www.aesham.com and search for Penetrox. If for some wierd reason you have no luck, send the Forum Master your mailing address info to forward to me and I will send you a little bit.

I did a few searches for Penetrox, and I came up with a product called Noalox. it is an anti-oxodant/corrosion inhibitor. anyone heard of it?is it similar to penetrox? If so, I can get it at Home Depot at $5.95 for a 4 oz. tube...

Penetrox is conductive. I have never heard of Noalox.

Motorola specs call for Penetrox. My guess is if Noalox was similar, it would be listed as an alternative to Penetrox in Motorola's spec sheet.

well, after doing my homework, I have found that Noalox is a conductive paste that is recomended by Hy-Gain in the assembly of their antenna's.

Sounds as if the products are similar. I'm going to try the NoaLox.

I'll let y'all know if I ruin anything...

From the penetrox A, BOTTLE.

pentroxA

Recommended for use with on aluminum to aluminum and aluminum to copper connectors on bare conductors, and on bus bars. Good for all voltages. Assures high conductivity joint by sealing out air and moisture to prevent corrosion and reformation of oxide film.

Hey David, I know there is a product out there called Ox-Guard also available. Appears to be similar to the above, although I'm not sure if it's the right application for antenna connections. Your thoughts?
