How do new forum members get introduced? Only when they make their first post?

I am asking because I want to say "hello" to a neighbor.

Znut,

About the only way you know when someone join's the Forum is when you see there post.

As a Tech I read so many post's each day that it is hard to remember if they are New to the forum or not.

Just keep watching for your neighbor to post.

Hi. I'm new to the Copper Forum and just wanted to say hello to everyone. Especially you Boxcar. I bet the same person that turned you on to this forum was the same one that told me about it also. Anyways, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to all of you interesting people. And also, if I can be of any help to anyone as far as radios go, be it Ham or CB, I will certainly do my best to help you WHEN and IF I can. However, I want you all to know that I DO NOT and WILL NOT ever claim to be a "Master Tech". I do not believe anyone should make such a claim because as far as i'm concerned, no one person could possibly ever know it all. When we're stumped, we always go to the book or we turn to someone else for the answer. And i'm sure you will be seeing my postings from time to time asking for some help myself. All of us, including myself, are ALWAYS learning new things about radios and radio communications. It's a facinating and fun hobby and I don't think there is anyone here that is not learning something about it. But, on the other hand, if you're not learning anything about it but it still holds your interest, well then, at least it keeps you off the streets. Back in the 60s one of my high school teachers said that to me once. So in closing I will once again say hello to all, may God bless you and yours and of course, may He always bless this free and wonderful country of ours.

Jeff, kc0gxz.
