I have seen a radio just like that. A local ran one a few years back. It is a nice radio. But I would think that his price was a little high. At least around my parts anyway. I hope it works out for you. Should be a work horse. As for your Tomahawk, I bet you'll find a buyer for it! |

"Yes you can IF it has no bids!!!" (not entirely correct) Sure, you can do that if you adhere to the concept that it is OK to use a service like eBay to advertise your product then renege on the seller agreement with eBay by falsely using a reason like "error in listing" to pull your item then sell it to someone off eBay, thus having used the power of eBay to advertise your item for free. This is called "fee avoidance" by eBay. Examples: Using member contact information obtained from eBay or using any eBay feature to offer to sell any listed item outside of eBay Canceling a listing to sell the item to anyone who contacted the seller through eBay, or became aware of the item through eBay Ending a listing early to sell the item at a higher price to the winning bidder Using member contact information obtained from eBay or using any eBay feature to offer to sell an item outside of eBay to any of your bidders in a Reserve Not Met listing. Using member contact information obtained from eBay or using any eBay feature to sell duplicate or additional merchandise outside of eBay to underbidders Listing items in a manner that allows circumvention of eBay fees Canceling bids and ending items early because the sellers desired price has not been met. This is considered reserve fee avoidance. ------------------------------------------------- The fact is, in this case, the seller would never have had the contact with the particular buyer in question had it not been through eBay. Since the item had not yet run its course, the idea that it's OK to pull it because it had not received bids is incorrect. Also, in this case, it would have been of no consequence to the buyer whether or not the item is sold through eBay. The buyer is not responsible for anything more than paying for the item. The SELLER is the person in question here, so the comment "Well he pulled it and I paid him straight up I dont deal with Ebay!!!" is really a moot point. My point is, regardless of how you feel about eBay, Some folks know "what is right" and some don't care. This attitude usually carries forth through every endeavor in life. If Copper were ever to offer a member auction service, I would hope Forum members would not abuse it by listing items then selling them "Off Copper" to circumvent any small fee... |

I wish Copper would start an auction service, I'm sure many of us would use it. ebay is not too bad but yahoo auctions are tough to cancel your bid.Ebay won't allow any HR2510's, HR2600 or Lincolns |

Why would you base an auction service worth on the ease of which you may cancel your bid? You shouldn't bid unless you plan to buy, and you shouldn't bid without first knowing what you are bidding on. eBay has lifted the sanctions on the 2510s for the most part. I see where 3 2510s and 1 brand new Lincoln have completed since March 1. |
