anyone seen the newer version of the 2970DX without the huge cooling heat sink underneath just the small heat sink and im told it has a built in fan now.
I seen them at a hamfest on Sunday, they are also on the new Galaxy high power radios as well as the 5054DX 100 watt version. I like it. You no longer need a vehicle the size of a semi truck to fit a 2970dx

Saw one at a local CB shop... Look pretty good to me but i cant see paying $550.00 full retail for the radio!! |

I have a Ranger 2970DX and i really love it. I have talked to Jamaica on it and to Co and Nevada so far. I also use a monkey made antenna.
