I'm rather new to the CB world and I just came across a used Uniden PC76XL. I am curious as to what the general opinion is regarding this radio. The one in question has a toggle switch on the top of the unit, which tells me someone drilled into the casing. It's towards the left side of the radio and fairly close to the from of the panel (when looking directly at the radio). It's Delta Tune button wiggles back in forth in it's hole so loosely that I am sure this is not how it's supposed to be. Any opinion would be much appriciated... thanks in advance

Unless it was very cheep i would not be messing with it .....at vert least it sounds like poor workmanship to me on someones part. This is not a top end radio ..... for just over 100 bucks copper can fix you up with something good .... i would not mess with it.

I agree w/ Tech 671,... great little radio you have right there. Not a lot of heavy swing but great audio. Keep it and send it to 671 or 307. This radio WILL talk if mod right. Really, the $48 that 307 charges is well spent $.
