I'm looking for the audio limiter in this radio. Found specs that it's TR53 which is a transister, could there be a resistor also? Reason why is because this radio's modulation blasts through the roof and I want to put it back to stock. Thanks!!! |

Okay. Found that TR53 was not cut but R249 was that's to the left of this transistor. Put back 10K Ohm resistor and still didn't change anything on the swing so I just turned the power down a little. Can't figure out what all things are to modify on this radio to get that modulation down except turning the power down itself. Here's the catch though, something had to have been cut because VR14(AM Mod) has no effect when turning up or down and the sideband is all the way open. Full power all the time. Hmmm? |

troublz, try galaxyradios.com. They have info on all the DX Radios there.Specs, schematics. etc...
