Ok Mr. Bubbles I Have Opperated The 2547 its a good radio. But It Does not have all the features as the big export radios. When I bought mine i really did not know that much about radios. And I Was mad That I Bought it instead of buying a big ranger. If I were you go ahead and spend a little more money and get a big ranger like a 2980. It will be well worth it.

I have a SuperStar 4900B, a great radio with loads of freqs and options. But I have always thought the 2547 looked to be a nice 40 channel radio. I haven't heard anyone who has had more freqs added to it, but still, I would like to own one.

Bummer, that would be a mark against the radio. But I would still like to have one.

And If you wanted To put a echoBoad in It You cannot Because It Has The Mic wired on the board that is a nother reason i got rid of it. ITs A Very Pretty Readio but just not up to the standards of the big radios.
