Somebody i knows wants to sell me a Xforce 1 driving 4. With preamp and ssb delay. And a 70 amp astron p.s. to run it in the house. The P.S. cost new about 289.95 And the amp the only one that i could fine is one similar with out the Preamp and ssb switch in front and driver on the side. This person will sell me both for 450.00 Is that a good deal. What do you all think. Mr. CArl |

If the amp is the X-400 mobile it's a good amp. The pre-amp and re-bias for SSB use is extra cost mods as well. On the down side a 70 amp power supply will not get the job done. Just check into it first. |

Ok It is actually 475.00. I Really need help deciding whether or not to get it. It is exactly a xt-400 Mobile Amp And A Rs-70m Astron P.S. How much power do you think i could get out of it with a radio keying 4 watts swinging to 25. Also could a connect 2 P.s. together to get more amps. Mr. Carl |

You can hook two supplies together but they need to be identical supplies and set at identical voltage. Radio should be at 2w carrier; with adequate amperage (110a) output would be in the 1kw range peak.

I have the RS70M and it has provisions for running 2 of them together. I have a Messenger 8 pill and I can only use med on SSB with 1 power supply and i get 800 watts, DRAWING 60 AMPS! On High it blew the fuse on the power supply.so I dont use that. But one thing I did notice is i CAN run the amp on HIGH on AM and the power supply did well but i think i only got about 500-600 watts on high on AM?? I dont remember because its been so long ago and i dont have it hooked up anymore , its just collecting dust in the closet LOL. make sense? not to me either LOL but to answer yes you can hook 2 of the RS70s together there is a provision for it on the back of the power supply.

Got The Amp. Does about 500. Is there anyway of turning up the voltage inside of the Power supply. |
