Whats more reliable and which talks better on AM and SSB? From the little bit I've heard it sounds like it would be a pretty good fight if they had limbs. Me, I'm torn, so if you've got something to contribute don't hold back. Thanks.

Hi, I run 77 in my work tractor it has taken a beaten, and I still get comments on how good it sounds. Also, does pretty good on side band once it is warmed up. It has a ton of chanels and toys. Nick 189 WV

for am i would say the 296, but ssb, the 77, for channels it's the 77.. My 2 cents worth, but we know 2 cents is worth much anymore....

The 296 has single final, no echo. The better comparison would be the Superstar 3900, I choose 3900.
