I've got them. Not worth it in my estimation. Best buy I ever got was the first 7 CB volumes scanned onto a cd. Not legal by the way . I don't own it anymore. |

I been repaing cb radios for number of years. Every once in a while I find a cobra 148 repair that I can not fix. It's always the same problem where the am works great but the ssb has a gravel poping dirstorted type sound to the audio on transmit. Anyone have a fix? |

OK I found it, for those who are interested. The problem was a shorted electrolytic cap. C154 47 mf 16v near the driver. This may or may not be the same problem I have seen in the past. Glad to get this Cobra 148 GTL going. Thanks to all that might have been thinking about this one. |
