....these items are advertised as "new" and I have no reason to believe they are not. My question to someone inside Copper Elec. is "where did you get these?" I was under the impression that the Lincoln was a daddy to the 2510 which went out of production years ago...or am I mistaken on both accounts? It's not that I need a name of a distributor or anything, but I am curious. Were they in someones stockroom from an old production run? And if I do buy, am I warranteed at all and if so for how long. I'm just curious, not accusational to Copper Electronics. I would purchase one if I understood the history on this, becuase what I don;t want is a "look alike" to what WAS the President Lincoln that I knew. I would appreciate a note from ForumMaster or any TECH associated with Copper. All others, please understand that I KNOW Copper Electronics is a reputable Company.---73 Kirk

Forum Master Note :
The President Lincoln is still being manufactured. The radios we have are new and in fact have a two year manufacturers warranty. The problem with the manufacturers warranty is you have to send it back to them. We however are offering a 90 day warranty.
Check out this site for a little more info : President Electronics

You will not regret getting a Lincoln. Mine is new only had it two months and It is impressive on SSB and AM.
How good is it? On SSB three signals rolled in on skip all three were about 500hz apart. Using the RIT control "Clarifier" you could tune any one you wanted to listen to. On most radios all you get is QRM

When will the Tech's chime in and explain those subtle differences between the Lincoln and the rest of the "herd"?

They are good and bad in favor of the President, but you Tech's can explain why it appeals to someone like myself but may lack some of the features others enjoy. Or, maybe it's time for a good ole fashion review! (Mine is biased)

Just a follow up here....I had owned a Lincoln AFTER I had bought a new 2510. Sounds like to me that the Lincoln and 2510 came out at the same time (according to the article here--> http://www.transmission1.net/cbradio/review-president_lincoln.html ). Would explain why I thought the 2510 came after the Lincoln.
