Continuous frequency coverage from .1 hz to ultraviolet light, all mode(including digital and encrypted), infinite frequency splits, 1.5kw variable power, RF and speech processing, built-in antenna tuner/klystron/ballast/magnetron to help propagate that final output, 42 inch plasma display with all functions including high resolution spectrum analyzer(to find the action),...etc... and NO UNLOCKED CLARIFIER.

I'd just like to have one that truly does have good ears and output down to 1khz and. Most of these so-called dc to daylight rigs can't really talk on 192khz.

1500 watts into an array of UV (blacklight) bulbs! What sort of modulation should I use? I.E. what mode?

The ideal radio would have two filters in them, one for Mexicali skip and the other to filter out ROGER-BEEPS!!

Hmmm maybe a processor that bleeps out profanity! That would be great!! But then the CB useage would more or less drop to zero because the white trash people would stop buying (also make a regular CB set with SSB cost as much as say a good Yaesu or Kenwood HF rig!) CB gear and it would be like 1960 all over again when you were able to talk 50 miles away with no problem because there was hardley anyone on the radio!!

I like channel scan. That way I always know what's going on on all 40 channels instead of just sitting on one of them.

for me it would be a 2950dx as a base to build from, install mrf 497 finals in place of the stock 2312's,5 band equilizer in the audio circuit, heil desk mic, active freq counter as ryan said,Audio Output:another EQ and 2 mb quarts 6 inch speakers, all powered by a 30amp power supply, all of witch placed in a dual chambered enclosure and rf shieled,in the 2nd chamber of this enclosure would be a nice pair of (3-500zg) amplifier.both sides properly ventilated and air cooled.

if run modestly it would idle along at 300-400 watts and have near unlimited keydown time and should sound very clean as my mod limiter would be intact, and a 43p to measure rf output mounted inside as well.

minus the EQ's and the heil mic this is what im running now just spread out on my desk.would be cool to have it all in one unit though.

How did you go about installing the 497s in the radio? what did you have to do?

mine has channel scan!! the one thing i would enjoy is something that would shut down troublesome radios that the idiots have, the ones that lock down thier mic and throw dead keys for hours at a time, something that would shut the radio down and render it useless for a certian length of time
