I asked the tech point of view, now i am curious of what everybody else thinks of these two radios. What radio is better, or in this case is there a better radio than these. Looking for clean modulation, very clear, very loud, and good ssb operation.

The Ranger 6900 25 probably has better stability on SSB than the Galaxy.

Tip: Galaxy drifts no more than the 6900.

Hmmm i had a galaxy 88 HL that i used on SSB and after about 15 minutes of warmup it was fairly stable. I also had a galaxy saturn that i got from a local guy NIB for 325.00 and it was solid as a rock on AM and SSB(after the usual 15 minute warmup) because it was new and never jockeyed with on the insides...

99 is great on am not on ssb
the ranger is great on both but the 99 does not
have the hash noise on rx like ranger
think about what mode u talk the most
am or ssb and go for there
