Hello - I want to mount a CB in my dash of my Nissan 240SX. I have a space in the dash that is under my cass deck that was for the CD player. I did not get the CD player so I just have a pocket there, I want to put in a radio the same size as the CD player woud be. The size is about 6 1/2 x 2. Does anybody know a radio this size? It can be any radio.. 23 or 40..
THANKS

the Midland 79-290 is 6" W x 7" D x 1.75" H

I bought one to put in my Talon, but it's too deep and the stick shift hits it. It might fit if you get the euro bracket and take the pocket completely out.

357,
Check out Uniden Pro520xl or the Pro510xl it's a smaller chassis radio with good transmit and recieve. The difference between the two is the 520 has RF Gain and the 510 does not. Follow this link to:

or

Good Luck,

Bruce,

that Midland 79-290 mentioned by 707 is the one with a detachable face. Nice little radio with lots of features.

The PC122 is a good radio, I have one myself at the present time, but Uniden discontinued it last year or so. Yes Midland does make a detachable face plate radio.

LOL!!!!!!! I pulled a joke on some locals once a few years ago with a modified pro 510 that another local CBer loaned me to try out!!! I ran it on my moonraker 4 element beams with a D 104 silver eagle and ran this all into a TX star 667!!! They though i was on my regular radio but they flipped when i told them it was a pro 510XL!! They didnt belive me until one of them came over and saw it on my desk!!!!!!!! HA! :-D
