Well, the 1st Sargant and I had the chance to get away for a couple of days and take a Trip down visit/see to Copper.

It was a pleasure for us to finally Meet Mr.Copper (AKA) FORUM MASTER)as well as Paul (Copper Tech) & Suzanne (Customer Service).

I have talked many time's with all of them, but for both of us it was a real pleasure to meet them all in person.

When Chet gave us a tour of the building and the Warehouse, I thought I had died and went to RADIO HEAVEN!

I could have spent hours just looking at everything they had, and Shirley (1st Sargant) was very helpful, as she kept saying anything else you want!!!

And, Suzanne was also very helpful as she was following us around writing down our shopping list.

Which by the way seemed to grow a bit after we got there.

I am going to be 100% Honest here. Both Shirley and have been to many different Sellers and Suppliers, over the years, for our radio business.

Never, have we been more welcome anywhere. After a great tour, and the chance to meet & say hi to everyone, and take picture's of Chet, Paul & Suzanne, We can say "WE WILL BE BACK" for more visit's.

After meeting them all, it is very easy to see & understand how Copper has Continued to grow since 1975.

When Bill Tech307 and Chet welcomed me on board as a Tech, all I really knew was that we had delt with them in the past and have always had very good relation's.

From, Quality Products, Service, before & after the sale, Customer Service, and of course the Forum, this Company is a PLEASURE to deal with.

All of the personal are friendly and willing to help & assist you in any manner they can.

I will be DREAMING of that warehouse with all those Radio GOODIES for years to come!

On a personal note from Shirley (1st Sargant) and I (Tech808), We want to say THANK YOU! Chet, Paul, & Suzanne and all of the others on your staff, for the wonderful time you showed us.

And we thank you for the wonderful dinner you promised and everything you sent back to Illinois with us.

We had a wonderful time and plan on driving down to to visit with you whenever we can.

As a Tech on the Forum, I thank you for allowing me to be a small part of such a great company.

Lonnie / Tec808
Shirley / 1st Sargant

PS. For those of you wondering what SUZANNE (the lady with the pleasant and cheerful voice many of you have talked to.) looks like, we had the pleasure of getting pictures.

I sent them out to the Forummaster this morning.

If he dosen't get time to post them, maybe he will let me post them on the Copper Auction?

Or maybe even that e-*** auction place.

Boy I could become rich overnight!

Oh Well, Back to work.

Yeah, actually that would be pretty cool to see the pictures of others on the Forum and at Copper. I know we have our profiles, but is there another alternative as well?

Lon, I'm glad you and the 1st Sargant had a great trip! I've got to do it someday, but for now doing all the final preps for a 3000 mile move to the left coast. Here we come (again) Washington State.

Alsworld,

Good Luck! on moving and the 1st Sargant and I wish you & yours a safe move.

If/when you get a chance to visit COPPER you will throughly enjoy it. The nicest people you will ever meet.

I will talk with the FORUMMASTER, and see if maybe we could start a separate catagory where Forum Members could list there Picture with "MINIMUM" Information below it.

Such as Name (first or first & last), Handle, Frequencies you stand by on & What time's you are generally on), City & State where you live.

If we kept the information to a minimum, it would allow people to check and see what state and frequencies you stand by on a better chance of making contact with each other.

And any and all other information could be listed in your profile if you wanted.

In the PROFILE area there are already catagories for all of the other info.

An Example is Below:

Picture:

First Name: LON

Handle: CATFISH or 808 Land of Lincoln

Frequencies:
AM:CH:13 - 27.115 from 6am to Midnight CDT
SSB: Wherever the skip is.

LOCATION: Bloomington, Illinois.

To make it easier for people to let us know if they would like this idea, I will start a separate catagory here in the OPEN SECTION.

I like the idea of having a section with our pictures. Perhaps we could make it the COPPER YEARBOOK...with seniors, juniors, sophmores, drama club, ect. lol....

Moderator558,

With the shop here, we generally stand by on CH: 13/27.115 from about 6am to 12 midnight. for local business.

It is a lot easier for them to yell at us on 13 than get thru on the phone most of the time.

We also generally have the 2 meter on the 146.940-repeater, during the day and at night.

Generally by time I get caught up, it's around 1 or 2 am and by then the bands are dead.

Heck, there is so much going on here with Local talk CB & 2&10 meter, I haven't even hooked a HF rig up for over 3 or4 years now.

Phineas,

Sorry, no our 146.940- Repeater does not have the Echo Link.

We do however have an Echo Link on 146.500 Simplex.
