Pressure wash it with hot water then bake in oven at 350 for 1 hour. You'll never see it sweat again!!! |

are you in an area with alot of moisture? like a basement with very high humidity? i've never seen "sweat" collect on a radio unless it is brought in from the cold to warm. where is it forming? |

Nightmare5AE586, Humidity/Moisture in the surrounding air is the cause for Sweating. If you have your equipment in the basement you might want to run a De-humidifier. High humidity & radio equipment do not get along well. Lon Tech808 |

Yes Tech 808 , I was at my son's house the other day, grandsons birthday party, I walked in my sons back office, he was standing there with a tube like item in his hand, with ice in it, I said what is that, he said a De-humidifier, I said it looks like a water pipe, he said no, I asked what he put in it, he said POT. So I guess they work in offices also, HE WAS BUSTED |

My son tried to lie to me, it was some kind of pot smoking devise, use to see a lot of water pipes in the Persian Gulf, they smoked anything in them. |

LOL on the water pipe.....Nitemare, mabye you could tape or stuff some of those little moisture absorbing packets inside the radio case. Might work as long as they don't touch any electronics, and change them after awhile. Just an idea... 73s, Pluto. |

Rice is an excellent de-humidifier although I'd say the radio-sweat thing, if I could possibly understand it correctly, sounds like a long term problem needing a de-humidifier or a normal result of moving the rig from a cold to warm environment. Definitely not enough info in the question. If for nothing else, put some rice in a salt shaker.. no more clumps ever. |
