Anyone still make a power, echo, handmike with up and down buttons for the RCI 2970DX? The only one Coppers sells is not for use on the ranger radios. Can ti be rewired to fit the 2970? |

Well, I have never heard of "coppers" so I'am not sure what kind of products they handle. Are they a New Company? 
Ranger makes a 6 pin Echo Mic and most other 6 pin Echo mics will work.
I use an Echo Mic with a 4-Pin adapter that converts Cobra/Uniden Mics to Ranger 6 Pin on my 2995Dx & 2970DX with the adapter from COPPER.

With the Adapters that Copper carries it will allow you to use almost any mic with any radio without having to re-wire them.
These are a big plus if you have more than one radio and have a favorite mic you like you use.
I have never seen an Echo Mic with the UP/DOWN channel buttons on it. But someone could have made one.

RU nitpicking my wording? I meant Copper singular not plural.. I guess thats what us northerers north of the mason dixon line call Copper is "Coppers". Ah well no biggie.

No, I was not really nitpicking.
But with as many new members to the Forum as we have, if they read a post with the Word COPPERS and they have AOL and they type that in the search box thinking it is another company, it will take them to another site other than the COPPER site and then it will have them Download a KOREAN Language Pack.
And if they have YAHOO and run the name COPPERS it will bring up several other sites other than the COPPER Web site.
I also live north of the Mason/Dixon line.
Guess it is just a quirk of mine, If I offended you, I apologize.

Well im sorry if i didnt use the right wording when i said Copper. Im sorry if i stepped on any toes here.... Guess ill have to be more careful next time.. Didnt think this was such a big deal but i guess it is!!!!
