Noticing one of our newer members (Wolverine) always reminds me of the X Men movie. My son loved the sequel, I liked it but thought the first to be better. I loved the Wolverine character in the first and thought they really played him down in the second. Good movie but afterwards I came home and watched the first one again. Anyone else agree?

Tech 671, I feel both X-Men movies stand apart on their own. Both are great movies. X-MEN 1 highlighted the induction of Wolverine into the ranks of the X-MEN, as well as why the X-MEN exist, which is to fight the Evil Brotherhood Of Mutants led by Magneto, and their doctrine of Homo-Superior mutants conquering the normal Homo-Sapiens of the world. In other words, "To hell with world peace". X-MEN 2 highlighted the other mutants from "Xavier's School Of Gifted Children" and their super-powers not seen in X-MEN 1, as well as how the X-MEN gelled as a team requiring trust, and loyalty, while at the same time still coping with their enhanced mutant abilities, not to mention, fighting for Professor X's (Xavier's) dream of mutants and humanity finding, a common ground to get along with each other on this "3rd Rock from the Sun", ala Martin Luther King". I grew up with comic books. The timing now could'nt be better to create these Marvel Super-Hero Movies, using the latest cutting-edge cinema technology, and computer-generated special effects. First there was X-MEN 1, then Spiderman, Dare-Devil, X-MEN 2, The Incredible Hulk is being released as we speak. Slated movies for the future are The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, and the Mightty Thor. I appreciate the character Wolverine because he, having a mutant healing-factor should be at least 120 years old. But he appears to look 45 to 50 years of age to us normal folk. Wolverine fought in World War 2, he went through having his "Bones" grafted with a fictional indestructible metal called "Adamantium", which also covers his claws, skull, and his entire skeletal structure. Finally, I Wolverine's take no prisoners attitude, and his animal-like feral qualities, aggressiveness, determination, and tenacity when it comes to his "Win at all costs" fighting skills when he's protecting his loved ones, team mates, and his freedom. Wolverine does and goes, when he wants, when ever he wants. Kinda sounds like you tech 671, your passion for the delicate and intricate complexities of CB/HAM electronic equipment, and it's uses at the highest functioning levels, results from your dogged determination to "Get It Right", for the forum members enjoyment. I adopted the name Wolverine for my CB Handle in 1976, because he was a great role model for a teen-ager for accepting life's realities, my strength's, weaknesses, limitations, while at the same time making peace with them. My only other role model is James Tiberius Kirk - Starship Captain of the USS ENTERPRISE (Star Trek). Hope this post wasn't too long in me expressing myself, but as the thread title states, "Not CB, But.. . Anyway Tech 671 I think both you, and your son was inspired by these great X-MEN movies. Thank You Much, and "Long Live The Claws"

Hey Wolverine, I've got a James T. Kirk quote in my AOL member profile, the best Captain ever to grace the bridge. Sure the man is over dramatic at times LOL, but I think a better actor than the world ever gave him credit for. Long Live J.T.Kirk! :)

You got that right Orion. Captains Jean Luke Picard ( Galaxy Class- Enterprise), Katherine Janeway (Voyager-Intrepid Class), and Benjamin Sisko(Deep Space Nine Space Station), are distant memories.
